Project Overview
The Screening, Brief Intervention, Referral to Treatment and Other Services - School-Based Health Center (SBIRT-SBHC) Project is a collaborative project between the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE).
Goals
The goals of the SBIRT-SBHC Project are:
- Address adolescent needs and reduce the harms associated with alcohol, tobacco, vape products, marijuana, and other drug use, as well as commonly reported mental health concerns by implementing screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment and community services (SBIRT),
- Reduce health disparities that impact youth substance misuse by applying the Enhanced National Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards.
