Women’s Wellness Connection (WWC) offers free breast and cervical cancer screenings at more than 100 clinics across Colorado to those who qualify.
We also provide health navigators who can help you with the process of getting the right tests, including mammograms, Pap or HPV tests, and any needed follow-up tests.
When cancer is caught early, it’s easiest to treat and defeat. In fact, nearly all women* can survive breast and cervical cancer when it’s found early!
Find out if WWC is the right program for you.
The WWC program serves eligible individuals ages 21-64 with no health insurance or limited insurance who are also on a limited income. Generally, their income levels must be under $37,650 per year for a single person and about $78,000 for a household of 4.
The WWC program welcomes all individuals in Colorado, including those who are transgender or gender nonconforming (TGNC) and need breast and cervical cancer screenings as part of their routine health care.
Visit the WWC & WISEWOMAN Eligibility webpage to learn more about if you qualify.

Schedule your appointment.
Call the WWC clinic directly to schedule your appointment and confirm program eligibility. After enrollment, you will meet with a doctor or other healthcare professional. They may do the Pap and/or HPV test for cervical cancer and a clinical breast exam for breast cancer at that appointment. For tests that can’t be done at the clinic, like mammograms, the clinic will help you find a participating facility to get the test done. After your test results come back, a WWC health navigator from the clinic will help you arrange any follow-up testing if needed.
Who should get tested?
Cervical Cancer
Individuals with a cervix ages 21-64 should get tested for cervical cancer every 3-5 years with a Pap test (or Pap smear) and/or an HPV test. These quick, routine tests are done in a doctor’s office or clinic.
Wondering what to expect? Find out more about the tests.
92% of women* survive cervical cancer when it’s found early. Pap and HPV tests can even prevent cancer by finding abnormal cells before they become cancer. So stay caught up on your routine Pap and HPV tests!
Breast Cancer
Individuals who need breast cancer screening services, over age 40 can get checked for breast cancer with a mammogram. This includes women, transgender women who have taken or are taking hormones related to gender transition, transgender men who have not had a literal mastectomy, and non-binary individuals. Doctors recommend getting this x-ray test every 1 - 2 years, depending on age. The entire procedure takes about 20 minutes, but the x-ray only takes about 10-15 seconds for each side.
Wondering what to expect? Find out more about mammograms.
98% of women* survive breast cancer when it's found early. Breast cancers can start years before there are any physical symptoms, so getting routine mammograms is usually the only way to find the cancer early.
*The term “women” is used because the data is reported specific to this gender.
